The Sectional Title Association Strand (STAS), the voice of the Helderberg’s sectional title community, a non-
profit association, serves as the representative umbrella body for all those involved in or impacted by sectional
title living in Strand.
STAS is guided by the following committed volunteer board of six members, supported by two administrators who help carry out its day-to- day operations:

1971: Matriculated in Pretoria from Menlo Park High School.
1973–1978: Earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
1978-1994: Worked for consulting engineers and contractors.
1994–2014: Served as office and regional manager at Africon/Aurecon, overseeing operations in the Northwest Province, Botswana, and KZN.
2014: Retired as senior technical director and regional manager at Aurecon Consulting Engineers in KZN.
2019: Joined STAS while serving as chairman of the Seemeeu Body Corporate in the Strand.
2020: Became a board member of STAS.
2022–Present: Elected and currently serving as chairman of STAS.

1984–1996: Banking career at Barclays/First National Bank, completing training programmes and gaining experience in operations and client service.
2011–Present: Joined JPS Trust, where she entered Property Management, completed accredited Sectional Title courses, and was promoted in 2017 to Office Manager, overseeing a full property portfolio in Somerset West.
2023–Present: Vice-Chair of STAS.
1984–1996: Banking career at Barclays/First National Bank, completing training programmes and gaining experience in operations and client service.

1991–2004: Completed BCom, BCom (Hons), and MCom degrees in Business Management [Unisa and University of Johannesburg (UJ)].
1996–2014: Lectured at Unisa and UJ in Credit and Strategic Management; contributed to academic publications and conferences.
2014–2017: Co-founded Sivart Advisory Solutions and Sivart Wealth Solutions, later merged with Branfin Group.
2018–2023: Lectured at Stellenbosch University in Financial, Strategic, and Marketing Management, including CSR and Strategy for international students.
2018–Present: Initially served as a Trustee of La Mer Sectional Title Scheme and then elected as Chairperson in 2020.
2023–Present: Board member of STAS.

1987–1995: Head of Legal Services at Qwa-Qwa Development Corporation; admitted as Advocate in Bloemfontein.
1996–Present: Returned to private legal practice, relocating to Somerset West in 1997 and joining a Strand-based firm, where he focuses on deceased estates and debt counselling.
2014–Present: Co-opted board member of STAS.

2021 – Current: Serve as the Financial and Branch Manager at Residentia Trust, continuing her commitment to the management of Sectional Title and Homeowners’ Schemes.
2023-Current: Treasurer of STAS.
